Democracy?

These stories of lists of persons who're escorted out of Bush's "conversations" is old news, I know. But they trouble me still because nobody's complaining about them. Have we become so complacent about the loss of first amendment rights peaceably to assemble and express ourselves that it's no longer outrageous when those rights are obviously breached?
